The doctors work together in a partnership and any patient can see any of the doctors, although we suggest you try and see the same doctor about the same problem if possible. One of the other partners will see you in an emergency, however.

Our practice nurses are available at both surgeries on most mornings. They work in the surgery taking cervical smears, removing stitches, syringing ears, checking blood pressure etc. The nurses are also able to advise you on travel vaccines, weight problems, smoking and are available at all our health promotion clinics and Chronic Disease Management Clinics.
Mrs Farrar is the Practice Manager and is in charge of the management and administration of the practice. She will be pleased to see you if you have any problems.

Our administration team are responsible for the admin requirements on the surgery. Our secretaries process referrals and type letters. They also deal with the administration process of providing medical reports to solicitors and insurance companies upon request. Our scanners and coders deal with clinical coding and scanning of patient letters into patient records.
Releasing Capacity Office Manager
Our receptionists are responsible for making appointments, processing prescription requests, ordering ambulances and taking messages. They have a demanding role and therefore we ask that our patients are always respectful, both at the desk and on the telephone - We are here to help!
Our team may ask for a brief description of your health concern so that they can book you an appointment with the right person, at the right time. It may be that a specific clinician is trained in a certain field (i.e. contraception options) or that you may need a double appointment if you have more than one problem to discuss. Giving our receptionists this information helps us to book you in to the system accordingly.
If however you do feel that the nature of your problem is very private and do not wish to disclose it to the receptionist, we will respect this.
All our reception staff are bound by the strictest of confidentiality rules. The surgery takes any breach of confidentiality very seriously and will act accordingly should it be reported.
