Appointments

blue_calendarPlease telephone, call or book your appointment on line (via our website). One appointment is for one patient only. If your problem is urgent, you will be fitted in with whichever doctor is available. You cannot make an appointment out of hours.

Urgent Assessment Clinics: are held from 8.30am - 9.30am each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Oulton surgery and Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Marsh Street surgery.  These appointments are for  patients (registered at Oulton surgery, Marsh Street or Swillington Surgery) needing immediate medical attention only on the day.  Please report to reception on arrival.

Urgent Appointments:  are available within 48 hours for those patients with problems unable to wait for a routine appointment.

Routine appointments are pre-bookable up to four weeks in advance with a doctor of your choice subject to availability.

On Line Appointments:  You can now book some on line appointments.  In order to have access to this service you need to contact the Surgery and ask them to provide you with your personal log-in and password details - YOU WILL NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY AND MAY BE ASKED TO BRING IN OFFICIAL IDENTIFICATION SUCH AS A PASSPORT OR DRIVING LICENCE BEFORE STAFF CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH YOUR PERSONAL LOG-IN AND PASSWORD DETAILS

Late Night and Early Mornings: We offer appointments Monday evening and early morning Tuesday and Friday.  Monday evening sessions at Oulton Medical Centre provide pre bookable doctor appointments /  and a walk in family planning / sexual health clinic with either a Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse / Cardio vascular disease assessment pre-booked appointments with our health care assistant.

Tuesday morning sessions at Marsh Street Surgery provide pre bookable doctor appointments/ pre bookable nurse or well woman clinic appointments on alternate weeks

Friday morning sessions at Oulton Medical Centre provide pre bookable doctors appointments

It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that the surgery is contacted if you cannot attend a booked appointment, as soon as is reasonable, to allow this to be used by another patient. If you arrive late for a booked appointment – it will be at the doctors discretion as to whether you can be seen.  If you repeatedly fail to cancel appointments you cannot attend, you may be removed from our Practice List.
